Tembisa SAPS arrested a 30-year-old woman on September 2 for a house robbery.
The house robbery incident occurred at Difateng Section on August 9.
According to the Tembisa SAPS communications officer, Captain Manyadza Ralidzivha, the victim was coming back from a shop in Difateng Section.
“When she entered her yard she noticed a vehicle that belonged to a tenant parked in the yard. She further saw a burglar door of the tenant opened, although closed at that moment.
She went into the house and then to the outside room to fetch her medication. While outside, she was approached by three men. One of them grabbed her. When she screamed they threatened her with death. They strangle her with a cloth until she was unconscious,” said Ralidzivha.
Ralidzivha further said when the woman woke up she found herself inside her room.
“The three men were not in the room. The door was closed and locked. She peeped through the window and saw the men loading her goods into the car of the tenant. The tenant (woman) was also helping them to load her TV, shoes and clothing into her car. After they finished loading the car, the tenant drove off with the three unknown men,” he added.
He explained the victim screamed for help and community members came and cut the burglar door.
“She opened a case of house robbery and the suspect was apprehended. She is expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court on a charge of house robbery,” said Ralidzivha.
