More than 30 suspects were arrested for various crimes in Kempton Park on September 21 and 22.
The arrests were the result of a joint operation between Kempton Park SAPS Crime Prevention Unit and National Traffic Police in Kempton Park CBD.
“The operation saw 38 suspects arrested and detained at Kempton Park Police Station,” said Const Dipuo Ditshego, deputy spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS.
“The suspects are aged between 22 and 40. Twenty-six suspects were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, four for possession of counterfeit CDs, one for possession of drugs and seven for reckless and negligent driving.”
