Police recover hijacked cars

According to the communication officer, Warrant Officer Grant Giblin, one suspect was arrested after members on patrol saw a man being chased by members of the community on Pretoria Road, Kempton Park.

Members of the Benoni Flying Squad arrested three suspects for various offences and recovered two motor vehicles between September 28 and September 30.

“The members of community assisted to catch the suspect they alleged to have stabbed the victim. He was arrested and a knife seized, while the victim was transported to the hospital.”

Giblin said two abandoned vehicles were recovered, a silver Mercedes Benz in Tembisa, hijacked at Norkem Park, and a Blue Toyota Etio, stolen in Boksburg.

The investigation is continuing, and three suspects aged between 24 and 37, are due to appear in the local magistrate’s courts facing charges of possession of drugs and attempted murder,” said Giblin.
