Ivory Park SAPS is asking for assistance from any member of the public who may have seen the man pictured.
According to the Ivory Park SAPS communication officer, Capt Bernard Matimulane, the suspect, Tomeya Mathebula (32) is being sought in connection with a murder which took place in Ivory Park in July last year.
“Police commenced with investigations immediately after the murder and all pointers lead them to Mathebula who had by then left Ivory Park and has never been seen since,” said Capt Matimulane.
Capt Matimulane said detectives from Ivory Park SAPS strongly believe Mathebula has a case to answer in connection with this murder, which happened on the morning of July 30, 2017 outside a tavern.
“The deceased, a 30-year-old man from Hospital View, Tembisa, was found lying with a stab wound to the chest,” he said.
