Special ops in Kempton Park results in five arrests

The team did stop and searches of individuals and premises

In a concerted effort to clamp down on crime in Kempton Park, the police joined forces with Fidelity ADT’s special response unit and other private security companies to conduct a crime prevention operation in Kempton Park CBD on Thursday last week.

The team did stop and searches of individuals and premises. Five suspects were arrested for not having the correct legal documentation and seven were taken in for profiling.

Capt Magcuntsu and the Kempton Park SAPS management team thanked all the security companies who were involved in the special ops.

Renee Basson, community development manager for Fidelity ADT, says: “These joint operations are highly successful and really make a difference in terms of driving crime out of these areas. We will continue to work with the police in this regard.”
