Tembisa women empowered

Tembisa women get a new burning desire to tackle life.

On August 6, Tembisa women came out in numbers to get empowered by influential speakers in the Recreating Your World annual conference held at Rabie Ridge Community Hall.

The organising member, Tumi Mekgoe, said the event attracted women of NGOs, the private sector, professionals and women from all walks of life.

“Women gathered to learn how to empower and equip themselves in recreating their world.

“The aim was to reach out and empower women with the Word of God,” Mekgoe explained.

Women were treated to beautiful music.

Rakgadi Moyaba, who attended the conference, said they needed to look into the kind of lifestyle they live as women in their careers, finances, family and life as mothers.

“We wanted to inspire women to get to the next level,” said Moyaba.

Member of the organising committee Nancy Petersen said they were very happy with the turnout and thanked all special guest speakers and performers.

Artists Melo and Queen of Praise entertained the conference patrons with music.

Petersen said they also had a talk show where women engaged on using techniques from the Word of God as businesswomen and as married women.

“This was targeted at women of all ages, grandmothers, sisters and mothers. We now expect women to go back and make an impact on the world. Our minds are renewed and we have a new burning desire in our hearts. We envisage women getting better jobs, starting businesses and becoming good wives,” explained Moyaba.
