Water for these suburbs should be back at 2pm

A burst water pipe on the corner of Monument Road and Commissioner Street has left several suburbs with low water pressure or no water on Monday morning.

Areas affected are Kempton Park extensions, Kempton Park Ext 2-4, Aston Manor, Nimrod Park, Glen Marais and Allen Grove.

According to ward councillor Jaco Terblanche it was expected water would be off for at least eight hours. However, water should now be restored around 2pm.
