Models take to the ramp to raise funds for Tumelo Home
Thandolwethu Productions improves the art in Tembisa.
Thandolwethu Productions took an initiative to raise funds in easing the financial burden at Tumelo Home of Disability.
On October 6 models took to the ramp to showcase creations from different designers to fashionistas who attended the event at Moses Molelekwa Art Center. Thandolwethu Productions co-founders Thapelo Kenneth Sekhonyane and Zanele Leah Dlamini said the event was a success and they were pleased with the people who honoured their invitation.
“We had live music performances from Mailula Kagisho (K-swagg) and Buhle Mashimong, Lesedi Sepoloane and Lunga Dyantyi (Majestic-hlehle) but we are thankful to our MC Busisiwe Nkosi who offered to assist us with the show.
“Overall the event was a success and we are happy with the outcome.
“We will appreciate it a lot if the community shows more support for our future events,” said Sekhonyane.

He said the show opened with designer Khanya Ramahali followed by Ngomusa Nkosi, group designer from KZN, who is currently staying in Alex and he is studying design at the University of Johannesburg (UJ).
“We also featured Hlengiwe Mthembu from Phomolong who is a design graduate who gave us amazing designs and our last designer of the night was Noncedo Kubheka who is also originally from KZN but currently stays in Birch Acres.
“Noncedo is a self-taught designer,” Sekhonyane added. He thanked their models Nancy Mtshali, Bonolo Rammutla, Kwena Rammutla, Noncedo Kubheka, Lufuno Dahvana, Matsela Phidza and Lerato Madibogo.
He said Thandolwethu Production Company was formed in 2017 from a creative team of industry professionals, who joined together to improve the future of modelling, music and acting in Tembisa by uplifting and promoting upcoming talents.
“Thandolwethu Productions fashion show does not have any sponsor or funding since the beginning of the event.
“We will appreciate if companies or individuals can offer to sponsor us so that we can be able to achieve greater things in life,” Sekhonyane said.
