EMPD recovers business robbery getaway car in Kempton Park
Two men face charges following an interprovincial tracking operation that led officers along Monument Road.
EMPD Northern Region Task Team officers, together with a private security company, recovered a vehicle used in a business robbery and arrested two men in Kempton Park on September 11.
According to EMPD spokesperson Thabiso Makgato, the orange VW Polo hatchback, believed to have been used in the commission of a crime in Limpopo, was tracked on Monument Road near Cavendish Mall.

The vehicle was driven by a woman who informed officers that it belonged to her boyfriend, who lives in Birch Acres.
Stolen vehicle traced to Birch Acres
Officers proceeded to the address in Birch Acres, where two male suspects, aged 28 and 29, were cornered in possession of a 9mm replica pistol before being handcuffed.
Both suspects were detained and charged with business robbery at Kempton Park Police Station.
Officers communicated with the investigating officer in Limpopo concerning the case.
The suspects will be transported to Limpopo for further investigation.
