A man’s attempt to burgle a home in Kempton Park CBD was foiled on Tuesday evening when a security guard caught him in the act.
According to Morné la Grange, general manager of Alpha Security, a security guard in the area spotted the suspect trying to pry open a front door security gate at a house in the area. He did not specify which street.
“The guard pressed his panic button and response officer Jabu Ndlovu reacted immediately,” La Grange told Express on Wednesday morning.
“The suspect failed to open the gate and when he saw [Ndlovu] he tried to flee.”
The suspect, however, was not fast enough for Ndlovu, who arrested the man for attempted burglary and handed him over to Kempton Park SAPS.
