Tembisa South SAPS closes illegal shebeens

SAPS members close down illegal shebeens in Tembisa.

On November 9, Tembisa South SAPS, Vispol and community patrollers closed illegal shebeens in their policing area.

Communications officer for Tembisa South SAPS Capt Neldah Sekgobela said the operation was implemented to prevent contact-related crimes that are escalating and reported mostly over the weekends.

“On the day, members paraded at 2pm at Tembisa South Police Station’s premises.

“They also focused on stop-and-searches in order to check for dangerous weapons,” said Sekgobela.
