It is believed the woman had been strangled.

The body of a woman that was found dumped in early December, has still not been identified.

Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS, appeals to the community to help them in tracing her family.

According to him, the woman was in her late 20s. Her body was discovered on December 9 at 8.30am on the R25 road Witfontein next to Festive Hostel.

It is believed she had been strangled.

He said she was wearing maroon pants with a red and black top and had a dreadlock hairstyle.

The body is being kept at Germiston Mortuary.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det WO Joel Makhura on 011 393 8600.

Should the woman not be identified, the police would have no option but to give her a paupers burial, Mtshali said.
