Truck found two hours after disappearing

The driver was detained at Crystal Park Police Station.

Two hours after a truck had disappeared in Chloorkop on Wednesday morning, the metro police recovered it in Benoni.

The man (40) driving the vehicle was arrested.

According to Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, metro police spokesperson, the truck disappeared around 6am. Tracker SA relayed a message to EMPD Equestrian Unit members, who were able to locate the truck in Benoni at 8am.

“The unit promptly went into action after receiving the information and picked up the signal of the stolen truck’s movement on Pretoria Road in Benoni, where it was cornered and the driver arrested.”

The man was detained at Crystal Park Police Station, charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.
