Two suspects were arrested on charges of robbery with a firearm in Pomona last week Wednesday.
The suspects are alleged to have robbed two female victims on Pomona Road.
“Two female colleagues were walking when they were approached by four male suspects who pointed a gun and forcefully took their handbags and ran away,” said Const Dipuo Ditshego, deputy spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS.
“One of the victims saw a police vehicle patrolling in the area and informed them of the incident.”
The victim got inside the vehicle and together with the officers tried to find the suspects.
“The victim managed to identify two of the suspects on Rockwood Road and both suspects, aged 37 and 30, were arrested,” explained Ditshego.
