Suspected drug dealer nabbed in Tembisa

The idling man, acting suspiciously, was frisked.

A suspected drug dealer with nyaope and rocks (crack cocaine) in his possession was arrested in Tembisa on Wednesday.

Kobeli Mokheseng, acting metro police spokesperson, said the 22-year-old man was arrested around 9am at the intersection of Nkanyamba Street and Brian Mazibuko Drive.

The estimated street value of the drugs is R1 200.

The idling man, acting suspiciously, was frisked and officers found 24 knotted plastic bags containing nyaope and six pieces of a drug known as rocks, the street name for crack cocaine.

Mokheseng said the man was locked up at Tembisa Police Station on charges of possession and dealing in narcotics.
