What looks like an attempted robbery ended in a shoot-out in Modderfontein on Friday morning.
The incident occurred on Valley Road into Modderfontein between Thornhill Estate and a retirement village.

Danielle Brudvig said the incident occurred behind her house. “Neighbour’s house is full of bullet holes because they tried to shoot the helper,” she commented on social media.
Kempton Express could, at the time of publishing, not confirm the information with Sebenza SAPS.
Sebenza SAPS spokesperson, Sgt Sharon Tsotsotso told Bedfordview/Edenvale News earlier that she was aware of a shooting in the area. She could not confirm whether there was a cash-in-transit heist.
