WATCH: Two take down street sign in Norkem Park in less than 2 minutes

Norkem SAPS urged the community to come forward with information about their whereabouts.

Two youngsters became wanted thieves in Norkem Park, after an act that took them only one minute and 27 seconds.

Capt Lesibana Molokomme, spokesperson for Norkem Park SAPS, confirmed that two young men are wanted for theft after stealing two road signs on the corner of Touws Road and Dick Mance Avenue. The incident happened at around 2.30pm on Tuesday.

CCTV footage of the incident shows how the one suspect swiftly lifted the other onto his shoulders. The second suspect then hung on the street sign to flatten the pole, and the two then tried to remove the signs from the pole.

They briefly paused when a taxi drove by, but continued as soon as the vehicle left. Once they removed the signs, they fled in a white Opel Corsa Lite.
“We appeal to anyone who spots this car or sees these suspects to call Norkem Park SAPS,” Molokomme said.
