No bail for accused in Kempton SAPS officer’s death

Rudzani is survived by his wife Noncedo Prudance Nongogo, and his two young children.

The four suspects accused of the murder of Kempton Park SAPS officer Const Rudzani Khalushi (36) did not get bail on Monday.

According to Const Dipuo Ditshego, acting spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS, Siphamandla Gcabashe (24), Goodman Gobinga (32), Andile Sandile Mthembu (21) and Khangelani Ngcongo (32) appeared in Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on charges of armed robbery, possession of unlicensed firearms and murder.

“They will return to court on March 15,” Ditshego told Express.

The suspects allegedly robbed Jet on West Street on February 1. Rudzani responded to the scene, where he was wounded. He died in hospital two days later.

Rudzani is survived by his wife Noncedo Prudance Nongogo, and his two young children.
