Man attacked and robbed of his goods in Maokeng Section

Unknown armed suspects break into a man's house and hold him at gunpoint.

On February 14 at about 1.30pm five unknown men broke into a room in Maokeng section and stole belongings.

Tembisa SAPS communications officer Capt Manyadza Ralidzhivha said a 25-year-old man was asleep in his outside room when he was woken up by the sound of the door being forced open.

He then noticed five unknown men, one armed with a firearm.

He was held at gunpoint while the suspects helped themselves to his goods.

“They took his Sony television, JBL sound system, two cellphones (iPhone and Huawei), clothes and blankets,” said Ralidzhivha.

He said the suspects left the victim in the room.

The suspects are unknown. Tembisa police are appealing to members of the community who may have information to come forward. You can relay the information to the police emergency numbers 08600 10111 or 112 or send an SMS to 322 11.
