Four suspects were arrested for a range of crimes in Birch Acres on Wednesday and Thursday last week.
According to Capt Lesibana Molokomme, spokesperson for Norkem Park SAPS, one alleged dagga dealer (25) was arrested after police found the suspect with 27 packets of dagga near Birch Acres Mall on Wednesday at 1.30pm.
Police estimated the dagga to be worth around R500. The suspect was arrested by Norkem Park SAPS’ crime prevention members.
Another suspect (38) was arrested on Wednesday for possession of crystal meth, weighing 1.32g and with the street value estimated at R1 000. The suspect was arrested on Tortelduif Street, Norkem Park.
Molokomme added that three other suspects were also arrested for the robbery of a cellphone and for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
