Stolen Cresslawn bakkie found in Tembisa hours later

The recovered vehicle was taken to SAPS Van Ryn Pound in Benoni.

A white Nissan NP200 light delivery van stolen in Cresslawn on Monday evening, was recovered in Tembisa by the metro police on Tuesday morning.

It was found abandoned with minimal damages to it, said Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, metro police spokesperson.

The owner of the NP200 reported the disappearance of his vehicle at 6am on Tuesday morning to the vehicle tracking company. The tracking company in turn informed Const Greyling of the EMPD SWAT Unit, who followed the signal showing the vehicle’s movements in Tembisa.

Around 6.30am Greyling located the NP200 in Difateng Section in Tembisa.

The recovered vehicle was taken to SAPS Van Ryn Pound in Benoni.
