Benoni Flying Squad arrested 17 suspects and recovered one stolen motor vehicle in Tembisa from March 22 to March 24.
WO Grant Giblin, spokesperson for the flying squad, said members arrested 11 suspects for alleged assault in Emangweni and Vusimuzi sections. In Freedom Drive, Ivory Park, a suspect was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence.
“Members made two arrests for dealing in drugs when suspects were found in possession of over a kilogram of dagga in Esiphetweni Section, Tembisa, and 10 packets of Cat in Freedom Drive, Rabie Ridge.”
“In further policing, two suspects were arrested and their silver Renault Clio impounded after they were found in possession of property stolen in Cambridge Street, Farrarmere. House break-in equipment was found in their vehicle,” added Giblin.
