The Ekurhuleni District Task Team is investigating a case of business robbery after a liquor outlet in Nimrod Park was robbed on April 13.
The outlet was robbed by five suspects around 11.30am.
“Five suspects, who were all armed, went into the liquor outlet and held employees at gunpoint,” said Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS.
“The suspects took liquor, cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene.”
Mtshali said the suspects were allegedly travelling in a white VW Polo and police established the car registration provided was false.
“No one was arrested and investigations continue. We appeal to anyone with information to contact us on 08600 10111 or send an SMS to the Crime Line number on 32211,” said Mtshali.
