Suspects arrested for possession of suspected stolen goods

The suspects were arrested by Kempton Park SAPS’ crime prevention unit

Four suspects were arrested during the early hours of April 13 on charges of business burglary and possession of suspected stolen goods.

The suspects were arrested by Kempton Park SAPS’ crime prevention unit around 2am at the corner of Pretoria Road and Central Avenue.

“The officers were patrolling when they noticed a white Toyota Quantam minibus taxi parked near a furniture shop,” said Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS.

“When the suspects saw the police they allegedly started running towards the parked minibus taxi but police managed to stop them.”

Mtshali also said police searched the suspects and the vehicle and found four television sets believed to have been stolen from the furniture shop as the door was discovered to have been forced open.

All four suspects, aged 22, 25, 41 and 46 were arrested.
