At least one person had been killed and another wounded in two separate shooting incidents involving taxis in and around Kempton Park central business district earlier this evening.
A man driving a taxi association vehicle was wounded in the hand in a shooting incident near McDonald’s on Monument Road. He had been transported to hospital.
While this scene was still active, police had to rush to another shooting on Pretoria Road near Midas. Here one person is believed to have died. The road had been closed.
According to information from the second scene emergency responders saw several AK47 shells.
Motorists are urged to avoid the areas as it is still active crime scenes.
