A 44-year-old Tembisa man who allegedly pointed a firearm at a father in the presence of his wife and children, had been arrested.
Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, spokesperson for Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD), said the alleged incident took place at the suspect’s home in early May.
The complainant opened a case at Tembisa Police Station.
“EMPD Public Order Policing Task Team members on May 17 managed to locate the suspect who was handcuffed and detained at Tembisa Police Station for the alleged crime. This was after a request was made by the station to the EMPD POPs Task team to assist in tracing the suspect. The arrest was effected around 6pm,” said Kgasago.
The police are still to locate the firearm allegedly used in the crime.
