A man allegedly in a taxi association vehicle was wounded during a shooting on Monument Road on Tuesday afternoon.
This is the third incident of alleged taxi violence in less than a week. Two members of Kempton Park Taxi Association were killed as a result of shootings on May 15.
One man died on the scene and the other in hospital.

Employees from surrounding businesses said they heard close to six shots.
According to an eye witness, who wished to remain anonymous, the man was shot by two armed men.
“A white vehicle with three men was parked at a complex near Aston Manor Shopping Centre. The taxi association vehicle was travelling along Monument Road towards the CBD,” said the witness.
“Two men got out of the white vehicle and stood near the road. When the taxi association vehicle approached, they started shooting at it. The taxi association vehicle turned and drove down Rietfontein Road.”
The witness said the two men got back into their vehicle and sped down Monument Road towards Dann Road.
Sec Pro Security’s Gerald Groenewald said the wounded victim was taken to Arwyp.
