Benoni Flying Squad recovers stolen cars in Ivory Park.

Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) officers arrested two suspects, recovered one motor vehicle and one firearm on May 29.

W/O Grant Giblin, the communications officer for BFS, said in Tembisa officers arrested two suspects in Enxiweni and Isiziba Sections, allegedly wanted for armed robbery.

“Another suspect was arrested by the police when they recovered an unlicensed 9mm pistol and five live rounds of ammunition. In further policing one abandoned vehicle was recovered, a maroon Toyota Conquest, at Ivory Park Extension 12 stolen. It was discovered it was stolen in a Pretoria West case,” said Giblin.“Members of the community are encouraged to report any suspicious activity or any information to their local police station or contact 10111. Officers are always willing to assist the community and crime fighting agencies.”

The suspects, aged between 25 to 35, will be appearing in local magistrate’s courts facing charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition, and robbery.
