The City of Ekurhuleni confused its dates regarding a water outage which they told Kempton Express in a media statement today would be on Wednesday evening.
However, the water interruption will only take place on Thursday evening from 7pm to 1am, ward councillor Jaco Terblanche confirmed.
Express’ Facebook page received many comments from residents who received or saw a notice about the interruption stating June 6 and not June 5 as Express was informed.

Several Kempton Park suburbs will be without water on Wednesday evening (June 5) due to maintenance work to be carried out.
According to Themba Gadebe, spokesperson for the metro, the planned water supply interruption will be from 7pm until 1am. No water will be available during this time.
The interruption is due to valve replacements and water leak repairs in Kempton Park CBD and Aston Manor.
Four water tankers will supply water to the Glen Acres complex in Glen Marais next to Spar, Aston Manor Shopping Complex next to Checkers, Kempton Park CBD corner of Kempton and Greyilla roads and corner Highveld and Monument roads.
The affected areas are:
• Kempton Park CBD
• Glen Marais
• Aston Manor
• Allen Groove
• Pomona
• Bredell
