Teams from the City of Ekurhuleni are working in parallel and on rotational 24-hour shifts to restore power to the Kempton Park community.
Themba Gadebe, spokesperson for the City, said late Monday afternoon that cables were being put in, panels were being fitted into the substation and testing of those installed was taking place.
“So far, restoration is still set to start from 6pm on Tuesday,” he added.
