On June 5, Ivory Park police were alerted to a body in a mielie field alongside Republic Road near Tswelopele Extension Eight.
Ekurhuleni Sub North communications officer Capt Neldah Sekgobela said the deceased is an unknown African male and could be in his late 30s.
“He had one stab wound in his back. It appears as if the deceased was dragged to the crime scene.
“Motive for the murder and the suspects are unknown,” said Sekgobela.
She said the man was certified dead on scene.
Ivory Park police are investigating a murder case at this moment and they are appealing to anyone who might have information regarding the incident to come forward.
