Rhodesfield residents are in their second week without water following damage to a major water pipeline near the airport.
Clr Tracey Lourenco, standing in for ward councillor Simon Lapping, on Tuesday evening said she had been notified that repairs to the bulk line had not yet been finalised by the contractor.
The pipe was severely damaged by drilling machines and was filled up with concrete, which closed up the entire diameter restricting water from passing through, she was told.
Water will only be restored some time on Wednesday or even Thursday at the latest if everything goes according to plan.
Water tankers are available for residents.
