On June 29 at about 11am three men arrived at Moedi Section, Tembisa South, in order to pay lobola but they were robbed of the money.
A brown VW Golf with four males inside stopped next to them before the victim entered the house with the cash.
Capt Neldah Sekgobela, the Tembisa South SAPS communications officer, said two males alighted from the vehicle and one pointed a firearm at the victim who was in possession of the money. The suspect found R20 000 which was supposed to be used for the lobola.
“The suspects ran to their vehicles and escaped from the scene with the cash. Tembisa South SAPS is investigating a case of armed robbery,” said Sekgobela .
The police are appealing to anyone who might have information regarding the suspects to come forward or to phone 10111.
