Apprentice SA contestant hands over uniforms to Kempton Primary learners
The prizes included a full school uniform
A vibrant Apprentice South Africa candidate Nonkululeko Ndlovu offered two Kempton Park Primary School learners raffle prizes as part of her finalist challenge for the competition.
The prizes were part of Ndlovu’s Be Neat and Love Yourself uniform drive which included a uniform complete with school pants, school sweater, shoes and socks, as well as a lunchbox set and story book.
The lucky winners were Kgotso Ramokgola in Grade One and Lerato Nkosi in Grade Five.
Ndlovu told Express: “Apprentice SA is a competition to empower young women in the entertainment industry of South Africa which is a perfect platform for any young girl between 20-35 to pursue their dreams.”
All contestants had to form part of local charities. This way they could learn what it is to give back to the community by serving and empowering, which forms part of what Apprentice stands for.
“I approached many schools because I’m passionate about children and any young girls that come from different backgrounds. Not only was I doing this to succeed in my journey, but giving back is part of my life, who I am and what I stand for,” she said.
Ndlovu is also part of various projects that seek to empower women to stand up for themselves and say no to abuse in all its forms.
“Another passion of mine lies with my own project which is still a baby NPO called IziNdlovukazi Foundation. The aim is to provide food, education, healthcare, livelihood programmes and motivational talks to young angels that have so much to offer to the world and to give families hope.” said Ndlovu.
To watch Ndlovu continue her journey you can watch Ster-Status, a new reality show which will air on August 5 at 6pm on Via channel 147.
