A 50-year-old Birch Acres man had been charged with raping his 24-year-old daughter over a period of 11 years.
The woman, who resides in Roodepoort, claimed she was raped by him several times between 2008 and 2019, said Capt Lesibana Molokomme, spokesperson for Norkem Park SAPS.
Ekurhuleni District Zone 1 FCS’ Sgt Dlamini took over the case for further investigation, which led to the father’s arrest, said Molokomme.
The man was detained at the Norkem Park SAPS police cells and will appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court.
