
A 28-year-old suspected drug dealer was nabbed in Chloorkop on Monday with drugs valued at R5 000 in his possession.
Kobeli Mokheseng, spokesperson for the metro police, said their drug enforcement unit received a tip-off around noon.
The man was arrested at 12.30pm on Mabena Street. Officers found 39 knotted plastic bags containing nyaope and 42 pieces of rock, valued at R5 000, as well as some cash in his possession.
The suspect was detained at Rabie Ridge Police Station and charged with possession and dealing in narcotics.
