The City of Ekurhuleni’s upgraded service payment website Siyakhokha has recorded 79 165 new customers registering for the service by August 21.
The service payment platform hit the mark only two months after its launch in July, said Themba Gadebe, spokesperson for the metro.
Customers who were on the old website are urged to re-register to view, manage and pay their municipal accounts conveniently.
To date, the new website has been visited by 334 718 people and the number of linked municipal accounts is 124 670. The amount processed on the Siyakhokha website since it was launched is R51 204 835, said Gadebe.
The platform was upgraded from the old website. The upgrades were necessitated by the need to align the platform with the digital city Ekurhuleni aspires to be, and will ultimately result in a service payment platform that is user-friendly and easily accessible.
The old website www.e-siyakhokha.co.za is no longer in use. Instead, customers will now have to log on to Siyakhokha.ekurhuleni.gov.za.
You can also pay your municipal account at the following outlets: Customer Care Centres, Spar, Banks, Pick ‘n Pay, Checkers, Pep Stores, Makro and Builders Warehouse.
