Robbery suspects arrested in Pomona on the same day

The two suspects approached the victim and threatened him with a knife

A victim’s valuables were recovered soon after they were stolen in Pomona on August 17.

This comes after the victim was robbed by two suspects on corners Mimosa Avenue and Pomona Road, in Pomona.

“The victim said he was walking alone when the suspects approached him and threatened him with a knife,” said Sgt Dipuo Ditshego, deputy spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS.

“The suspects took his cellphone, wallet and R100 cash and ran away. Minutes after the incident the victim saw a police vehicle, stopped it and informed officers about what happened.”

Police managed to catch the suspects and upon searching them they found the victim’s belongings and both suspects, aged 22 and 24, were arrested.
