The City of Ekurhuleni has postponed tonight’s water pipe repairs.
The announcement was made on Twitter and the City’s Facebook page less than an hour ago.
No reason was given.

Update Thursday 1pm:
According to the City of Ekurhuleni three more suburbs not listed before will also be without water tonight.
The suburbs are Bonaero Park, Pomona and Bredell.
According to metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe the interruption is due to valve installations at the corner of Albatross and Gladiator streets.
Water tankers will be located at the corner of Park Street and Central Avenue, Monument Road next to Spar and Checkers, Bredell on 3rd Road next to Spar and the corner of Kerk Street and Monument Road.

The water pipe at the Albatross Street intersection in Rhodesfield has still not been fully repaired.
The City of Ekurhuleni will continue with repairs on Thursday (August 29) which will interrupt water to certain suburbs for 12 hours, said ward councillor Jaco Terblanche.
Water will be switched off at 5pm on Thursday and will only be switched on again at 5am on Friday.
The affected suburbs include Glen Marais, Aston Manor, Nimrod Park, Allen Grove, Kempton Park Ext 2-4 and Kempton Park Central Business District.
