Police join forces during operation in Kempton Park CBD

Ten suspects were arrested for different crimes in Kempton Park CBD on August 24 and 25.

During a joint operation by Kempton Park SAPS and the metro police on August 24, seven suspects were arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

“Three suspects were arrested by Kempton Park SAPS crime prevention unit for alleged possession of drugs,” said Sgt Dipuo Ditshego, deputy spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS.

“The arrests were made during police patrols and random stop-and-searches in the CBD. The first two were arrested on the corner of Margaret Avenue and Long Street and the other on the corner of Greyilla Avenue and Kempton Road.”
