Seven men had been arrested for diesel theft following a trap set up at a truck stop in Isando on Monday.
According to Capt Jethro Mtshali, members of the Gauteng Organised Crime Unit received a tip-off about a group of suspects selling diesel at the truck stop.
A trap was set up. At around 10am four men arrived with a truck, selling the diesel.
Unaware of the trap, they were arrested, said Mtshali.
The arrests led police to a nearby house in Isando where drums of diesel were recovered and another three suspects were arrested.
All the suspects, in their late 30s and 40s, will appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on charges of theft.
