Taxi boss shot dead in front of his daughter at his Sedibeng home

They were then approached by four unknown men who were all armed

Police are hot on the tail of the suspects who shot and killed a local taxi owner on Tuesday evening.

According to Rabasotho police spokesperson Capt Ralidzhivha Manyadza, the 64-year-old businessman was shot at his home in Sedibeng Section, in front of his daughter.

Manyadza said the motive is not yet known, but investigations are still proceeding.

“Information at our disposal suggests the victim was in the company of his daughter and they were speaking to one of the family’s taxi drivers.

“They were then approached by four unknown men who were all armed, and without a words they opened fire, shooting the victim several times,” explained Manyadza.

He said the suspects then ran away.

“The victim was certified dead on scene. A number of cartridges were found on scene. No arrests have been made as yet and it is for this reason that we would like to appeal to the entire community to help us find and bring these culprits to justice,” appealed Manyadza.

“We are also looking for a suspect who stabbed and killed a man in Winnie Mandela Zone 10.

“In this case, the suspect is known, but hasn’t been arrested because we can’t locate him.”
