In a dramatic turn of events, Tembisa police have arrested the mother of a three-year-old boy who went missing in August and was found in a car’s boot on Friday, September 20.
Sourced information suggested the mother of the toddler as well as another woman were arrested.
Without giving much information, Rabasotho police spokesperson Const Patricia Mgijima confirmed the arrest of two women and that they were charged with the murder of the child.

She said they would appear in Tembisa Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
The Tembisan first reported about the missing child in August after he was reported missing at Rabasotho Police Station.
The entire community united and a search for the boy ensued after his disappearance. His lifeless body was found in the boot of a car that was parked in a yard at Madelakufa Informal Settlement.
Sourced information suggested the child’s eyes had been removed. This still has to be confirmed with the police.
