A 28-year-old man was arrested at Kempton Park Taxi Rank for allegedly dealing in dagga.
Benoni Flying Squad members discovered 156 small bags of dagga, weighing 350g, at the rank on Wednesday.
The arrest was made at around 8.30am when officers were patrolling Pretoria Road. Inside the taxi rank they noticed a suspicious looking white Volkswagen Polo with one occupant, said W/O Grant Giblin, spokesperson for Benoni Flying Squad.
Upon searching the vehicle, the dagga and R250 in R10 notes were found and confiscated.
“The selling of dagga remains unlawful,” said Giblin.
