Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) has appointed a female superintendent in a vacant deputy director’s post.
Supt Lebo Sebudi, who joined the metro police as an inspector from Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) in February 2007, has 17 years of experience in the law enforcement fraternity.
She was taken through intensive and challenging training to sharpen her managerial, technical and communication skills in preparation for her new responsibility. She has been promoted to give vital assistance to the administration at the metro police’s training academy and ensure effective management and good service delivery to motivate and empower female officers.
“You have worked hard and you deserve this position. Please continue to make us proud,” said chief of police Isaac Jabulani Mapiyeye.
