Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula will today [Monday] open the new R60-million Tembisa licensing hub.
The new centre will bring much relief to the community of Tembisa and surrounding areas.
The minister will be joined by Ekurhuleni executive mayor Clr Mzwandile Masina.
The Tembisa Licensing Hub is the first licensing hub to be built in a previously disadvantaged area in Ekurhuleni and will be followed by building of licensing hubs in Katlehong and Tsakane.
The Tembisa Licensing Hub, situated on Link Road in Esselen Park, will relief the Kempton Park and other licensing centres in the vicinity of long queues.
It is strategically located to also serve the northern suburbs of Kempton Park, areas that fall within neighbouring cities linked by the R21 and Olifantsfontein Road (R562).
