The City of Ekurhuleni’s planned 18-hour water outage has now become a 30-hour one, as water is expected to only be restored by 5pm on Wednesday afternoon.
The further delay, according to a message forwarded to ward councillors shortly before noon, is still because of “unforeseen circumstances” the team on site is still experiencing with regard to pipe leak repairs in Isando.
Water tankers will remain available for the duration of the outage.
The original time given for the restoration of water was 5am on Wednesday morning, which was then extended to noon.
