The pipe repaired in Isando is gushing water again and an emergency water shutdown is necessary tonight.
This message was circulated to ward councillors late this afternoon:
“The pipe repaired on the 13th November 2019 in Isando kicked and is gushing water. There is a need of emergency shutdown for Isando industrial supply to allow repairs. The estimated time for repairs is 5 hours from (15:00pm to 20:00pm).
Ward councillor Jaco Terblanche said the shutdown should only affect the industrial area with a slight possibility of other areas also going off.
The City of Ekurhuleni posted these tweets this afternoon, which relate to another water problem:
Water tankers are stationed at the following places: Ascalona Old Age Home, Pick n Pay in Brentwood Park (cnr Stanley and main road) and on the main road opposite the townhouses.
