Metro waits for special clamp in order to fix water leak

The hole is still open as the leak has not been fixed, he added.

A water pipe in Rhodesfield has still not been fixed, since October.

A Rhodesfield resident, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed his frustration about the water leakage on the corner of Gladiator and Harvard streets.

According to him, this pipe burst last year. People from the municipality opened a trench, but since then nothing had been done, he said.

According to Themba Gadebe, spokesperson for the metro, the trench was dug at the end of October because of a water leak on the AC water pipe.

The hole is still open as the leak has not been fixed, he added.

“We are waiting for delivery of a specially made cascade clamp to repair the leak, which will be received before the end of this week (December 13),” said Gadebe.

This hole on the corner of Harvard and Gladiator streets has been open for months.
