Mr and Miss Community Changer crowned
Community Changer ambassadors to help bring about change in their communities.
Mr and Miss Community Changer was hosted at All Saints-Parish Church in Rabie Ridge on Saturday, December 7.
The pageant aims to groom young men and women to be the voice of change in their communities.
By the end of the evening, the audience had witnessed the crowning of new ambassadors of Change in Communities.
The event organiser, Betty Mulaudzi, said the goal of the event was reached.
“The pageant is aimed at implementing change effectively in different communities by appointing ambassadors of change.
“I am aware that alone I can’t change the world, but with every title-holder as an agent of change in their community we can build a structure to try bring about change in our communities, hence the theme ‘Community Changer’,” said Mulaudzi.
“The title-holders will be going to orphanages, homes both for old people and young, community summits and schools to do talks. Change will be implemented effectively. We will not be going to those places every day, but with the #MakeSureTheStreetsAreClean campaign we can change or influence more lives positively,” said Mulaudzi.
The winners of the pageant in the women’s category were Miss Personality Rosina Mokgalaka, Miss Personality Siphesihle Mtshweni, first princess Bianca Malatjie, second princess Poppy Mshayisa and queen Mothekgi Matlou.
Junior Nake was crowned Mr Personality, first prince was Leon Khathi, second prince was Loyiso Ketwa, and Itumeleng Modiba was crowned king.
